Good value course that is in top condition throughout the year and one of the best in the county in the winter months. The rough can be punishing, especially in summer and I have played in some very strong gales in the best, so it can be a real test at times. Recommended.

We played as a society of 21 players on a Friday in May following a heavy downpour, the course almost bone dry within 20 minutes. Playing in 3 balls we were round 3.5 hours with only one last ball (in a pond). The fairways were in excellent condition as were the tees, several greens were pot marked with un-repaired pitch marks, but in the main were true. The coloured coding of the flags were found to be useful and gave good indication of pin placement. Whilst many fairways are wide, sensible siting of bunkers meant a well-placed tee shot was needed to reach greens in regulation. A minor criticism, some signs pointing to the next tee would be very useful on some holes to save getting lost.
A very well appointed clubhouse with a good bar with quick service. Our three-course meal was excellent value served on hot plates by friendly staff. The pro shop was well stocked, the security arrangements (electric barrier & coded to exit) together with an ample sized car par park rounded off a good value day.
Go and play it, you will have search very hard to find better venue for a society day out.

One of the few courses in Northamptonshire worth playing in the Winter, as it is so well drained.
Easy to score if you drive well. The rough has been trimmed down in recent years. The Greens have started to get chewewd up.
You must attack holes 1,2,10,11, and 12 in order to make a good scores.
Alot more difficult off the Whites, with some of the par fours lengthened considerably.

Same comments as Graham Smith (11/01/98)\r\nThis one of the better maintained courses\r\nthat pay and play has to offer.\r\nBack nine holes generally offer more variety\r\nthan front nine.\r\nIf you drive the ball straight you can score\r\nwell around here.\r\n

Excellent new course, about 2-3 years old. Very wide forgiving fairways and extreemly forgiving rough. Slight downside is course is very exposed - not too pleasant in poor weather.\r\n
