Playing this parkland course provides pleasant views of rolling Cornish countryside and sea views towards Polzeath. The front nine is pretty bland, just whacking the ball down extremely generous fairways, probably the widest I have come across. The back nine has a lot more character and requires a bit of thought about the type of shot to be played. Be careful not to overclub approaches to the greens as most of the hazard risks are directly behind the green. The greens were extremely slow, but that might in part be due to playing in damp autumn conditions. Modern and spacious club house, though not the friendliest and at nearly £5 for a simple sandwich a touch pricey.

Played here twice and enjoyed it. Club shop nice but like most of Cornwall not overly friendly. Course in good condition especially in light of the amount of rain they have had. Started early (7.30) which meant we were round before most people were starting which was well worth the effort.
If you are in the area then I recommend playing the course - has lovely views of the hills and coast.

12 handicapper.
Appalling front 9, mostly flat, featureless. Lack of maintenance didn't help - greens hadn't been mown, tees shabby (loads of divots). One hole out of action - temporary green but the club staff recommended that we didn't bother playing it.
Good back 9 - interesting and well laid-out. Maintenance still poor though.
Overall, not worth the money. It's joined up with a fitness club and exclusive housing estate. Looked like a course that was built to attract residents to the housing estate rather than the discerning golfer. List of members revealed only 3 sub-10 handicappers.

I was on holiday with three mates and we were looking for a golf course to play. I spotted Roserrow in the 2-4-1 magazine and so decided to give it a go. It was a bit windy but sunny, and warm. The first three holes are a bit uninteresting, if you ignore the wind. But the rest make up for it, and how? High winds and long rough make the first few holes hard, the back 9 are totally splendid. Use of the contours is brilliant, the index 1 hole where you drive over a stream is interesting. Then after a short par three, a flick with a lob wedge, is a brilliant 440 yard par 4 with a dogleg at the end as the fairway drops to the green, excellent, I must return someday and do it all again.

We took advantage of the 2 for 1 offer which made the course good value. The first nine were flat and featureless, I was wondering why we chose this course. The second nine though is superb, well worth the fee we paid. I have to say though I don't know if it's worth the full fee (£30). I should imagine on a windy wet day the course is tough. It was tricky enough on a sunny breezy evening. Overall good value with the 2 for 1 offer but not worth the full fee.

Playing this course was an enjoyable end to two weeks in Cornwall. The course is spread over a wide area with views to the sea. There are several challenging and unsual holes that employ the rolling nature of the land to maximum advantage. The 7th is a delightful down hill short hole into a grove of trees. The 10th a blind dog leg right that falls steeply to the green. The first nine are flatter traditional holes the 2nd nine roll with the contours. An intresting course that I would like to play again. The club house is also a leisure centre with pool/gym/tennis/driving range and health centre, a good bar and food. There is enough to keep a non-golf family occupied while you play.
