Brockley Hill Golf Park Player Reports
Kenneth Morrison (England) 05/06/05
This is a nine hole, par 3 course which winds itself around the excellent driving range. When I visited I was impressed by how well the course was maintained and presented. Most of the holes are, however, bland and relatively uninteresting. Presumably this is on the grounds of cost and maintenance as several holes play downhill and could easily be made more attractive and challenging.
Play is from good tee mats but, with eight holes within 34 yards of each other in length, you won't need to carry a full set of clubs.
The greens are flattish with no severe slopes or undulations but seem to be nicely paced and very true.
Beginners and higher handicap players will find challenge enough but I can't see lower handicappers getting much other than "keeping their eye in".
The Pro shop has a stock covering the full spectrum of equipment and all the staff I encountered were both friendly and helpful.
Value for money is reasonable, especially off-peak, but it is a pity there is not more variation in clubbing and design.

Very helpful and informed staff, one of the best driving ranges I have used, which is in perfect condition.
The course is good for the beginer but experienced players would find it a little easy. However it is useful to practise your short game.

Quite a pleasant 9-hole all par 3 course, with well maintained greens. There's an excellent driving range, in mint condition, with practice bunkers. The clubhouse also includes a large and well stocked pro shop.
