A relaxed and friendly welcome, excellent pre match bite and beer, lovely setting and a comfortable club house.
Course was well laid out, not too difficult but certainly no pushover - more about position than distance. Wanders through woodland although holes (I think) 12 through 16 are more open, more akin to a US design with bunkers and raised greens. In very good condition, responsive greens & excellent fairways. Can thoroughly recommend it. Paid £22.50 on 2FORE1 based on day rate.

October 2005. Played course on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon. Lovely parkland course with wonderful trees, and excellent scenery. Relatively easy course, so great for us improvers, less of a challenge to low handicappers though. Some of the holes are impressively designed, such as the 15th with its raised greens and huge bunkers. I thoroughly enjoyed my round here, and can highly recommend the course. Having played others in the Norwich area this is by far the most enjoyable if not the most challenging. I dont think anyone could not enjoy this. If I was looking to join a club in Norwich this would be the one.

What a nice course! Mature trees everywhere, wide fairways and very forgiving rough. This is a terrific place for all golfers, the people are friendly, the clubhouse is a cracker (their specially Brewed 'Weston Bitter' goes down very well) and the course is in perfect condition. Worth a visit that's for sure.

I have played most of the courses in and around the Norwich area now and this one was the bast by far.
What a lovely course. It is set amongst 100 acres of established parkland, with the fairways threading their way through the trees. Many of the greens are sculpted and each hole has a different character. I have been told that it is a bit like playing at Wentworth - although easier! I play off 14 and found this course at an ideal level for me.
Everyone at the course is helpful and friendly, with a relaxed air all-round. There is also a distinct lack of corporate feel to the place, which is a distinct bonus as far as I am concerned.
A day ticket on the Saturday cost me £27.50 with a 2-fore-1 voucher and I shared a buggy for the day with my partner. The pro let us have it all day for £20. Bargain.
The course was empty in the afternoon too, which having played in Leicestershire for the past 10 years is unheard of for a Saturday.
Excellent through and through. I'll be back!
Andrew

Played this course in September 2003 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Whilst primarily in mature woodland, there are some newer rather more open holes which were added when it became 18 from the original nine.Exceptionally pretty with superb greens, and well manicured despite the effects of the summer drought.

Lovely spacious course, great scenery, mature trees. Top class condition but greens are usually slow. Gentle slopes, not easy but enjoyable for low and high handicappers, all holes have interest some very tricky. Very friendly and superb club house/food etc. Large practice area. Well worth a detour to play.
