on arival at the course we were welcomed nicely. We had 25 balls on the superb driving range and a little go on the putting green. We then went for our round. The first hole was rather easy and when we finished it we couldn't find the 2nd hole! We made our way round and teed of at the 13th. As we made our way to the fairway we had to use a small bridge to get over a stream. it was there that my day was ruined when my slipped down a gap in the bridge! the staff acted superbly giving me a lift back to the club house.
I recomend this course to any one from beginers to pros!

Played my first round there with two friends who were also first timers, as they have mentioned, there were no maps!
That was really the only negative (althought the toilets were a bit nasty).
Nice course, good value, buggies were a nice bonus as the course was hilly, some sort of device to stop my ball from slicing off the tee would have nice too!
Would definately do again.

Played there on the 22nd April
3 Players - Round of Golf Each and 2 Buggies - 21 Quid
First Impression of the Course was good, very big Course with lots of Hazards to challenge you and open Fairways. The Greens were okay.
Having the Buggies was Brilliant as was a very hilly course, so need it.
Only problem I found with the Course was there was no Map, they had the odd Posts to start with tellnig you where next Tee was, but they dissapeared after a while and was no little Map on the Scorecard.
For Instance, on one of the Hole's, was a Par 4 and dipped down a hill and to the right a bit, now without a Map, you did not have a clue about this.
I would say Overall apart from a little Map to tell you the Positions of Flag, that it was a good course and the Buggies were brilliant. Had a great day out and would recommend it to anyone.

Three of us played this coure Sunday 22nd April. £21 each for a round and two buggies. Pretty good value.
Being first time players to this course we could have done with either a course map or a general idea at each tee, but that's really the only negative.
Throughly enjoyable course with some great views.
We will definitley be back.

Played the course on 19 Sept 2006.
Eight players 36 holes with buggies for £80, just £10 each!
Course was in good condition and the greens were great, much better than some of the other local courses we had played that week.
Good quality food in the clubhouse 2 meals for £7.
We were made to feel really welcome by Richard and his staff.
I will not hesitate to recommend this course to anyone. We all had a great day out and if in the area again it will be the first course we will book.

I have to largely agree with Derek Russell's review from last year. I last played the course about 5 years ago, and was only playing it again as it was a charity golf event. The course has improved somewhat in that time, but overall I wasn't impressed. The greens were the worst I'd played in years which will take some sorting out.
What would require rather less effort would be more sand in the bunkers, proper signs between holes, to tell you where to go (I got lost after only the first hole !!)and proper (and correct)hole numbering (they have recently re-configured the course, but the old hole numbers are still in place).
There were also no course maps - A photocopied map would have been perfectly acceptable. I won't rush back, even at the price.
