Crow Nest Park Golf Club Player Reports

I played this course in early September on a Wednesday afternoon with a friend, neither of us are members.
The course was in excellent condition and quite testing but we paid £24 each for two laps of a nine hole track, I feel that £24 for a midweek round on a nine hole course is a bit steep especially as i could name a lot of courses within 6 to 7 miles which are at least as good and some better for between £8.50 and £15.00. Crow nest was enjoyable but at this price it will be a long time before i call back.

Quite a good 9 holer. The two short holes are nice, and the final par 5 is very attractive, requiring an accurate drive and a precision shot to the green. The par 4's in between seem to lack inspiration and its quite an easy course. Play the course in summer as it seems to have very poor drainage. This does however seem to be a progressive club, with a friendly and active membership, so no doubt many of its problems will in time be overcome - 4/10

Played this course a few times although very boggy on fairways greens in superb condition. Also found the pro to be decent always willing to have a chat and give advice.

Just played at Crow Nest Park and I must say I wish I'd discovered it sooner. It is a superb, long 9 holer that tested me on every hole (left with 3 balls less than I started with). There are 2 long par 5s which, whilst reachable in 2, can easily muck up your scorecard. I've already booked my tee time for next week and I'm thinking of becoming a member.

Good nine hole course, in bottom of valley, so gets a bit boggy in areas when bad weather comes,if your h'cap is about 20 or so, you'll love it.
