Played there on March 17th. There was a slight wind and it was overcast. Started on the 10th due to a competition.
The course is not overly difficult with several drive + 8 iron holes. A couple of longer par 3's and only 1-2 par 5's.
The course was in good condition for the time of the year. Only 2-3 holes off mats (but they were good mats). Fairways were well presented and the greens were all in good shape (apart from a heavy dose of weedkiller grains).
Drivers are not always the best choice of club as you can end up in medium rough despite a reasonable tee-shot.
Comes highly recommended for the money. Staff are friendly and the club house offered good, fast food.

Design and condition:
As previous reviewers have said, the first half dozen holes are billed as 'links style', with the remainder being more mature parkland course. A well-laid out course, with many greens protected by bunkers (as it should be, I suppose !)
Playability:
Not a long course and plenty of doglegs mean it's not always prudent to go with the driver. Water comes into play on the last few holes, with the 18th being a feature - 380 yards, then over the stream onto a small green.
Facilities and welcome:
Lovely old, converted club-house, ratrher sparse pro-shop, putting green and small driving range. Due to it's location, some of the holes suffer from noise from the M4, which is a shame. Still, at £12 each with a 2-fore-1 voucher, I would certainly go back.

This course backs onto the M4 where it joins the M25 by Heathrow airport so expect a lot of background noise. The course is a bit of a mixture with the front 5 holes being a bit barren and flat, and the remainder being set in mature grounds of an old country estate. Course generally in reasonable condition, but overall I felt it was a pretty average parkland course. Was good value on a 241, but wouldn't be inclined to play it otherwise. Clubhouse is modern and pleasant.

A course that looks like it's had holes added to it. There are quite a few open holes at the start, but it starts to tighten up on the back where the trees and bushes seem more established.
Having only played it once, I wasn't struck by too many outstanding holes, although it has it's merits.
It did seem like it could be prone to suffering in wet weather, but I'd certainly go back again.
The clubhouse facilties are all okay too, although the range and practise facilities seem a little unloved.

Most enjoyable - particularly the last 5 or 6 holes which are delightful and a real good test. Very much like Florida courses except that the lilies and bullrushes on the water are several hundred years older! Our 3 ball took under 3.5 hours which is as it should be. The course seems suprisingly underused but we will definitely be back. The waterways and wildlife are a delight. Don't worry - there is plenty of room off the tee - wide fairways - and some great par 3's. Super

A very pleasant course with some very tough holes. Avoid playing into the rough as getting out can take some time (If you find your ball!).
The overall facilities are good, with a nice clubhouse/bar at reasonable prices.
Overall, good value for money. Highly recomended.
