Played the course at the weekend (12/4/8) with a society. The packaged offered was very good, lovely food and warm welcome. The course unfortunatly was very wet with alot of standing water on the fairways, although to be fair the greens where in very good condition.
The slow faiways made for a bit of a slog around this picturesque course with alot of water (Not just the puddles) to contend with. I would like to revisit when there has not been so much rain.
Overall I would recommend playing as long as you keep an eye on the weather leading up to your visit as the course finds it hard to cope with a lot of water.

Played this course in August 07 and sensational is the only way to describe it, especially for £10 after 3pm and thats not with 2-4-1 vouchers! Every hole is tree lined, great water features, very well kept course in great condition, with friendly staff and atmsphere. Would definately reccommend to anyone who is visiting the area.
Some holes are tricky, first par 5 especially, 5th hole I think, requires long drive over a stream, lay up if you aren't a big hitter. Also, one or two long par 3's, may require woods off the tee.
Overall, a fantastic course for the price, would have happily paid £30 for a round and would have still walked off believing great value for money!

What an amazing find this place is! It's in the middle of nowhere with just picturesque little villages nearby, it has loads of wildlife all over every hole such as swans, coots, rabbits, squirrels etc, every hole is a challenge and has something that differentiates it from the others, it's cheap, it's rarely busy...... what more do you want?
I played it at 15:30 on 05 Aug 07 and there were about a dozen or so people on the course which considering its quality and the great weather was amazing. It cost us £10 each to play after 3pm and knowing now how good it is I would pay treble that to play it again. I'm going back there again soon with a society which is about £26 for 18 holes, tea/coffee bacon butties on arrival an 3 course meal afterwards.
I played Heyrose just a couple of weeks ago which costs three times as much and does not come close to this place, you should definitely make the effort to play it, just take plenty of balls as there are plenty of trees and water (I lost 6 but still enjoyed it).
One final tip. Unless you are unbelievably accurate with your driver, hit 3 wood or irons off most tees as accuracy is the key here.
