Quindell Golf and Country Club Player Reports

although new to golf i find it hard to enjoy a round when you can not tell if you are landing on the green or in the pond.
i played on a very warm but windy friday afternoon and was very surprized to find the first hole flooded, i thought there may be a drainage problem on that green but found many of the next 11 holes in the same condition. it wasnt untill the 12th when i saw the groundstaff over watering the next 4 greens just before i got them and so landing on the green with a splash.
i would've been even more ticked off if a hadn't used a 2-4-1 and been charged the full £22 for the worst day of golf i have ever played. very bad management

Fareham Woods GC is now known as "Quindell Golf and Country Club, its present owners having been there for about 3 years, although I understand that it is also currently on the market again. I played here on Dec 21st, the shortest day and the first impression as driving past the rather salubrious houses is that this is a little bit of Florida without the weather! The welcome was warm, although on my own, "go on out and enjoy yourself" so I did!
The first 5 holes are in the "Florida type" section, these holes overlooked by some rather glorious houses as would normally be found at Sunningdale or Wentworth!. Then it was back past the clubhouse for some more slightly undulating holes. Although overall the course is short at 5683 yards off whites, it sure is no pushover, and although it has 4 holes under 300 yards, accuracy is paramount.
Overall, very enjoyable, course in good condition and one that I would recomend for a visit if in the area
