Haven't played the course for a year or so - therefore cannot comment on the current condition of greens and other features. Layout is extremely flat with 'american style' bunkering and some interesting use of water. People here are very friendly and the clubhouse is quite welcoming and quite quaint.
Come here if you want a quick nine holes - but don't expect Muirfield!

Played here on the 28 Jan 07. I wasn't expecting much from a little 9 hole course, after playing a lovely course (Old Thorns) the day before.
The scenery isn't great. There arn't any wow holes and some holes are a little easy. The the layout of the course should test you on a variety of shots and is a great little practice session. I would say the last hole was the most memorable having to drive with water on the right and then chipping over a little stream.
Not bad value for a £10, but don't go out your way to play it, but there are good facilities (Range, putting green etc)

Played this course a few time now and this is an easy course IF you can drive straight. Which means for the majority of us this does provide a good challenge. Played this on 15th July 2005 and you need to tee off from the white tees which gives you a par of 70 and a course over 5000 yards. The greens are very receptive, especially for a public course, and there are enough bunkers (with good light sand), trees and water to make this challenging for the wayward driver.
The staff are friendly, there is a bar, a driving range (with tuition bays), a chipping/putting green, and a practice bunker. The price for 9 holes is £9.50, 50 balls for range is £3.00 (although they now do a card system with discounts if you buy more) and use of the putting/chipping, bunker is free. If you are in the 18-28 handicap range I would recommend this course. The par 3's are a little short but that means you feel (even as a 24h'cap) that a bogey is an opportunity missed.

A nice little 9 hole. Recently put under new management, and boy does it show. Greens coming along nicely along with the rough. So it's getting tighter, plays like a links.
Hole 1 about 360 pretty straight forward with oob on the right.
2 Difficult dogleg right, about 390, can't cut the corner anymore.
3 160 par 3 reasonable
4 decent 360 par 4
5 pretty easy 300 par 4
6 easy 110 par 3 nothing to write about
7 par 5, 500 bunkers and oob all down the right
8 360 par 4 plenty water down right
9 330 par 4 water down right and across at the end.
can get busy as they don't seem to book times during busy periods.
Very friendly clubhouse.

This is my local course and I have learnt my game here. The 500 yard 7th is a hole I always enjoy taking on and the par 4 5th makes you just want to hit the green. One critism is the greens, not in good condition just now and avoid going if it is wet. Otherwise an enjoyable 9 holes for locals.

Idid go back to this course as a greatly improved golfer and still think it remains to tight and the rough to unpredictable . I played with a player learning his way around the golf course and he was about 40 over, but he was not that bad .This is not a course for anyone but a straight hitter who has a strong short game .Final point is that at present the greens are in a very poor state .
