Course was ok , a little long , which makes it difficult as nearly every green is raised so you end up using about 4 clubs in your bag for the whole round . It the sales service this course offers that let them down , played the venue on a society day about a month ago and we were treated like second class citizens compared to the members . Emailed the course with our societys complaints , and there after sales service is about as good as there service on the day . They are just another corporate golf course who want your cash , and then arent interested . Wont be re visiting .

Much harder than indicated, most comments are out of date. The greens are good - new greenkeeper - and it is a big challenge, especially when the predominant SW winds are blowing as there is 40 miles of open ground to the West!

We played this course as a society over two days. Although the two days were dominated by an extremely talented young man, the course was still a joy to play - even if the greens do need a bit of tightening up.

The Chase Golf Club at the moment is one of the best up and coming golf clubs around. With new owners, a new head pro (Richard Stockdale), and a new Course Manager (Kevin Farrel) The Chase is going in the right direction. The Junior section is slowly decreasing in standard with their ownly being a handfull of single figure juniors at the club. But those juniors that are their are winning all of the major competitions and some of the full members dont like it. Well tough!!! We are herea to stay!!! We are the future of the club, treat us that way!!!

The Chase is has a good layout that can offer a great challenge. Further, the course is going through a development stage for the last few years and realistic, no improvements have been accomplished, only free relief from the rough. For the greens, last year they were the worst I have ever seen. This year, I would rather be putting in the rough.
If you are considering membership, I suggest elsewhere. The reason being, you will be paying more than the other local private clubs, but you will not necessarily get a game in. There are far too many socities and visitors, even over the weekend. Secondly, the amount of play is on this course indicated that there will be never nice greens.

I have recently joined this course 6 months ago. After playing the course on several occasions i have been disapionted to see that we have to play on tempory tees and greens especially when the weather is nice. After playing the full greens for the first time it made the course longer but the condition of the greens was in my opinion very poor. I just hope that this will be rectifyed soon, as this course has massive potential to be one of the top courses in staffordshire. The layout of the course is brilliant and offers a great challenge for everyone.
