This course has great potential but the greens and tees are in need of some real TLC. The landscaping offers some good variation in holes with little of the 'up and down' syndrome often seen at a lot of courses. But several greens are in poor condition and various teeing areas were very jaded and uneven.

Definitely do not play this course unless with a member (£15) or on a 2-for-1 voucher (£20). It is not worth the full asking price of £40.

Then there is the dreaded 'course ranger'. He passed us a few times in his buggy with only one concern in mind - that our shirts were fully tucked in - does he really have nothing better to do ?! Wentworth this certainly aint; their efforts would be better spent on course maintenance rather than trying to be something they're not.

I have been a member at the club for 3 yrs now and have seen a dramatic increase in condition. A new greenkeeper has got this course in a decent condition .. and is getting better all the time. Its a tough course, with, many challenging holes, the 11th into wind is a horror, and also the par 3s can cause you to lose a few shots. On the card this looks a relatively easy course, yet there are numerous tight drives . and the greens are very imaginative, especially the 18th .. at 40 yards deep it can prove a real challenge getting length right. I would recommend this course hugely, it may not have been in the best of conditions in 2005/06, yet this summer, it will be awesome :D Great clubhouse with huge lounge, spkike bar, and decent food available from the kitchen at a good price. Changing rooms are well decorated, with many lockers, and power showers.

I played this course on the 15/8/2006. I was very impressed with the quality of the course although the tees were in a poor condition.

The course is set in (according to the course planner) 150 acres of rolling parkland and the holes certainly make the most of the scenery. The 1st 6 holes are all very tight drives then the course opens out a lot with a testing par 5 hole! I managed to hit 4 bunkers and the water on the final hole which was impressive! Definitely a course where you can go for broke and end up with nothing or play sensibly and still do well.

Very very very disappointed. I had heard great thing about this course but I do not exaggerate when I say that the greens at Redlibbets are worse than many pay and play course.

Putting was an absolute joke! The grass was way too long and we left footprints in the grass it was that bad!

The setting of the course is fantastic and some aof the holes are really nice but the condition of the course is apalling. Not only the greens but the teebeds sloped!

The day we played was a hot day and I looked smart with shorts and a summer shirt untucked but just over my waistband. Not once but twice I was asked to tuck my shirt in by an idiot driving around the course in a buggy. If he cared more about the course rather than petty thing like that it would be a great course, however at £40 per person it made me feel like I had been well and truly ripped off.

I was going to go back and play it with work colleagues but they have lost my custom for ever!

Not a long opening hole, but make sure you middle it. Anything topped is wet, anything hooked is down the slope and in the trees and anything very right is trees also. A slight fade will be the best bet, the slope on the right will probably push it back to the short stuff. Overall a tight course, with a little respite from 10 to 14 where it is open. Interesting third with two fairways. My advice is play left to the top of the slope which should leave a seven or eight iron in, depending on how many weetabix you ate in the morning. The 14th is one of them holes where you just have to grip it and rip it. The tee is high and you drive into a valley. Watch the greenside bunker though. It is rumoured it can be seen from space. Nice finish, with a lake to the left of the green. Nice clubhouse with "jetwash" showers. Finding the place was a problem though. Could use a signpost.....

Most golfers in Kent know New Ash Green as the home of the exclusive Nicklaus designed "London" course with its multi-multi thousand pound membership and $200 green fees but there's a course around the corner with a relaxed atmosphere, affordable membership, £30 green fees and as much challenge from one of the finest new courses in Kent.

This is one sweet course. It's still maturing but the greens are like silk and the holes are imaginative to say the least. The first is tight enough to make any rusty golfer balk and if you use the competition tees its across water.

I like the third with its split fairway: Drive the bunkers on the left for a better approach shot or go right for a more tricky second. Local lore says that a visiting pro drove this 357yd hole for a bump onto the green.

The signature hole is the 14th with a truely monster bunker. The par 5 plays across a deep valley and the green is guarded by this second world war crater filled with sand. nice! The 18th finished with water down the left - so you can loose your ball in front of the clubhouse with a gentle "splosh".

It's amazing to think that this is half an hour drive from Greenwich or New Cross. It really is so tranquil.

This course is in very good condition, it is well maintained even though it is quite a young course. Over time the trees will develop, but for now the deep rough is already a struggle to contend with. Green fees are very reasonable but you will need a member to sign you in.
