I have played Eastbourne Downs on a number of occasions and have always received a warm welcome on both the clubhouse and, on the course. Very good value for money (for a private club) and a reasonable test of golf. The greens are normally in good condition, with fairways of natural downland turf, ideal for "nipping" the ball up nicely. Some fairly boring straightforward holes to start off with, but there are some great golf holes as well, with the 18th being a nice testing par 4, not too long, but enough to make you think about if you are needing the hole for a win!

Would definitely recommend to anybody holidaying in the area for a gentle game, would prefer to play here than the other courses in Eastbourne
