Canford Magna Golf Club Player Reports

I recently played the Parkland course with my father and we both really enjoyed it. The round took a little under four hours even with a full days competition going on.
The greens and fairways were in very good condition. But the best thing about the course was the staff, all were very friendly and helpful throughout our day there.

I spent a week's holiday in Dorset last week and arranged a couple of rounds of golf. Canford Magna had previously been recommended to me, so I booked, and a friend and I played both Parkland & Riverside courses and we both agreed that they were excellent courses. The greens were fast and in great shape, likewise the fairways well looked after and some of the water hazards could be a bit daunting. I'm not a particularly good golfer but I do know the game and know the difference between good and rubbish and this place definitely falls into the first category. In my opinion these courses would give great pleasure to golfers of all abilities. If you don't agree then it would take a lot to please you.
The club house was good and the people we encountered in the shop, bar and on the course (players & staff) were very friendly. If you're in that neck of the woods and you fancy a game of golf then give it a go.

I have played the 9 hole (Knighton) course a few time and it is and excellent course for beginers, practicing the short play or if you are short of time & very good greens.
I also played the Riverside Course last weekend and I am considering becoming a member. The course is great with excellent greens & fairways. Numerous lakes and rivers make it interesting. I didn't play that well and still enjoyed it, so it must be good. Nice people and 3 courses to chose from - well worth a visit.

Played this course in good weather on 14 June. Overall it was very enjoyable - it presents a decent challenge with plenty of water hazards for those who can't hit straight.
