Played Burhill on a number of occasion now, as a good friend is a member. Only played the Old course, due to the fact that I love it so much .... I have always found it in excellent condition, very well cared for. The 1st is quite a tough (In length) opener, so make sure you warm up well before ;-) My favourties are the 3rd (Par 5), 5th (Par 4 SI 1), 7th (Par 4) Aiming your drive over the huge tree to cut the left dogleg, leaving a short wedge to the green. 11th (Par 3) Over 200yds uphill, 12th (Par 4) A great view from the elevated T, 15th (Par 5) Make sure ur drive is LEFT of marker post. This is my regular Eagle hole but after hitting Sunday Best Drive and nailing my 3 Iron to the green which is slightly downhill so you can follow hte ball all the way down ;-)... My only slight dissapointment is I find the 18th a bit of an anti-climax. Your 2nd shot to the green is normally a blind shot and the green has trees all around it. It is only when you finish the holes and walk throught the trees, do you set eyes on the Magnificent clubhouse. If the 18th finihsed outside that, then would be amazing.... Wonder if it could be done !!!! The practice putting green would make a great green, and then the holes would be a long Par 5 ;-) Overall a great 18 holes of golf on a very well cared for course. You will not be dissaopinted

Two very different but excellent courses. The Old reminds me of Wentworth East, a classic Surrey course. The new is less scenic in general but the actual holes are very, very good and well thought out, especially on the back 9.

Played the Old Course with a society on 29/11/04, the course was in superb condition, no trolley bans all on main tees and greens. A good test of accuracy and club selection in a lovely parkland setting.
The clubhouse and facilities were excellent, friendly attentive staff and excellent food.
