I have played this course regular every weekend with my brother alan, I remember when it was 9 holes and then the full 18. I was first to ace the par 3 10th accross the pond with a crisp struck 7 iron. my best score is 82 off scratch and 80 off scratch on winter greens.

The staff are very friendly and polite and they make you very welcome inside the clubhouse.

excellent facilities, good food and refreshments.

I play this course most weeks during the summer with a group of lads. Oor handicaps range from 17 to 22. The course is flat and quite forgiving so it suits us. Overall the course is a good challenge for the beginner or high handicapper. As others have said the staff are really friendly and the clubhouse is very good, but to move on the course needs some work. Pitch marks can be found on most greens and the bunkers are never raked. The tees take a hammering and need additional ones to rest the originals. I would recommend you give it a go but booking is required.

Played this course twice now in recent weeks and had a great old time. The course is is well designed with a good layout and very flat. Some very nice wide open fairways leading to reasonably sized greens. The fairways were very good and the greens were looked excleent but were a little slow for my liking. Not over challenging but a pleasure to play and quite flattering if you have recently taken a beating from a tough course. The adjoining driving range would be quite useful if they had some tees for the mats.

1st impressions are very good as there are excellent practice facilities (driving range and seperate putting and chipping area) plus the clubhouse looks brand new. The cost was £16.80 for 18 holes on a sunday in mid summer which I think is very good.

The course itself has good and bad points. It is the flattest I have ever played and the fairways were excellent, but overall it was a bit on the featureless side. What bunkers there were were not raked, the greens had lots of unrepaired pitch marks and the tees were very poor. However, if I'd played well I might be more complimentary so I'd like to have another go at it in a month or so.

To make it a very good course they would just need to put in some more greenside bunkers, issue everyone with a pitch mark repairer with their scorecards and build some new tees so they can rest the current ones long enough to recover.

Finally my last bit of advice is that you should play it but under no circumstances trust the 150 yard markers, in good conditions I hit everything from a 9 iron to a 5 iron from varying 150 markers! Oh and watch out for the most severe dog leg I've ever seen on the 18th.

This is a challenging course for beginner & high handicap player. The green fees of £13 for 18 holes are very reasonable considering the high quality of the course. The staff are very friendly and the new club house a treat to spend time in after a round. Would recommend this course to anyone.

SUPERB, a strong word but well worth it, you are greeted by a brand new clubhouse that looks excellent, although not the biggest.

There is also a high quality (although not the cheapest) driving range, plus a chipping practice area.

The course is a fairly long one, over 7000yards, with some cleverly placed ditches and water, and it in superb condition, while relatively new (reclaimed farmland), the trees are just beginning to become established and in years to come will give the course more character.

It is easy walking with most holes flat, and the fairways are of generous size, though some holes require good course management.

The greens are mostly in exceptional condition all year round, and the groundstaff can often be seen putting work into maintaining the course.

Booking at weekends is a must as this course is becoming ever more popular and tee times are quickly taken.

Highly recommended, although you may take my tee time.

Definately as good as some of the more expensive clubs in this area and well worth a visit.

See you there.
