Superior pay and play course in South Leicestershire. Provides entertaining golf at all times of the year, and is notable for excellent drainage in Winter. Some excellent holes including the par 3 Devils Toenail, and the remainder of the course though not testing for good golfers its always enjoyable. Food and clubhouse excellent, though it could be argued in these days of 2 fore 1 vouchers etc the green fee is not the bargain it once was. Not a memorable course but one that I have always enjoyed and have no complaints about.

We played Kilworth Springs on a beautiful winters day and the course was in superb condition. Kilworth was a 1st for all of our 4 ball, the course is well manicured and well marked from green to tee; a warm welcome from all and the food was excellent. We felt at £24 the green fee's for a tues morning were on the steep side but Kilworth is well worth a visit if you're in this neck of the woods.

This course could well be the best courses in the midlands.
The course has greens that are played practically 90% of the year and are usually found in top nick, a great job by the green keepers with the amount of play it has in mind.
tees are fairly good but can get a bit rough in winter. the fairways are wide enough for you to open up with the driver but beware of the thick rough, bunkers, verious ditch's and water hazards that are a plenty.
some great hole designs that make the most of the land.
there is also a putting green and a chipping green with 2 practise bunkers which i advise you use to practise your links style chipping as the greens can be firm and the wind can blow well with its hill top location.
the undercover range is good to warm up with but not the cheapest for range balls.
the club house is friendly and serve a range of drinks and food of an average price.
keep an eye out too, as you might see a famous walker cup player who has beaten tiger woods in a past walker cup pop in the bar!!!!

Played here at the end of May at a time when on other local courses greens were soft and receptive. What a difference here - full wedges & 9 Irons landing on greens and finally coming to a stop 20-25 yards later. Particularly annoying as the day we were there all but about 3 of the pins were within 10 feet of the front of the greens - very clever.
Not many trees here, hence the "links" style comments - so they make up for that with strips of US Open style rough between adjoining fairways. Even if you manage to find your ball, you probably won't be able to get it back into play, so straight hitting is the order of the day, they don't want you to play fantastic recovery shots.
Other facilities: the changing room seems designed for 6-10 people only so I don't know how they cope with larger societies. The practise green is as bumpy as the real ones but obviously can't be the same pace as the variable paced greens on the course.

An excellent, open course which allows players to open their shoulders and go for their shots on the front nine. Excellent drainage means the course is playable when others locally are closed in poor weather. Covered driving range available with excellent instruction facilities provided by highly respected club professional.

Really excellent course. The first nine feels like a links course and reminds me of the Lochgreen Course at Troon. The second offers a very different test with water hazards on every hole but the 17th. I was pleased with a 91 which included a dismal 39 putts. Has some very tough slopey greens. Well worth a visit. Also has an excellent and good value driving range so your can hit a few balls before playing a round.
All round excellent value. I highly recommend this course.
