Selsey Golf Club Player Reports

I visited Selsey in the midst of a cold snap in November, but found the course fully open with all main grees and tees in play, and pins well on the greens as well, not just at the front as per many course in winter. If you are a slicer, beware, the first five holes have out of bounds on the right and can gobble up balls. The 2nd is a very testing dog leg Par 5 where the OOB and a pond really do intrude into the dog leg, whilst the 4th and 5th are very strong long par 4's.
All in all, very good value, very friendly pro, but £2.50 for a Bacon Sandwich is a bit steep - also found that the bar person was more interested in reading his paper than clearing the tables of which at least one had about 10 empty glasses on!

A cracking 9 hole course (Par 34 for Men) with loads of variety. A tough start with a relatively easy finish. The tees and greens were in good condition but the greens were a bit patchy but not bad for early April. There is also info on the club at www.selseycountryclub.co.uk
