Great course played it on a greenfree voucher bargain at £14 thick rough howling winds just what you expect from a links course.

Friendly shop staff and members with views that are well worth stopping and taking in.

Played it on 11/07/07 so course was dry as a bone with rapid quick greens suprised me after all the rain but a credit to the green keepers.

Well worth a visit.

An excellent links course with lovely views across St Ives Bay. Fairly short and compact but this didn't diminish from the enjoyment and challenge of playing the course. We were fortunate to have a friendly members 4Ball in front as there are a number of blind shots and knowing where you are going isn't always obvious.

Played here March 06 (£21 (normally £28)with a discount from the hotel we stayed in ).

Fantastic links course that's packed with character .This is a totally enjoyable & exhilarating golfing experience .

Superb views ,dunes ,humpy fairways, elevated tees ,a railway line running along the beach & right next to the 6th tee, a church on the course & too many good holes to mention in a great layout.It feels a bit like going back in time .

We played in the strongest wind i've ever played in (strong enough to blow my trolley over about 8 times & someone elses grounded bag off the green surround & down a steep slope ) but this all added to the experience .

Looking down from the elevated 12th tee over the course & across the bay the view is stunning & probably the best i've seen on any course .

If you're going on a golfing holiday in the area then this is a must play course .

Played this course on 19.05.2004. A tradituional links course with large, fast, true greens in wonderful condition. The views across Carbis Bay from the tees on holes 10, 11 and 12 are breathtaking. The opening hole is a 200+ yard par-three with out-of-bounds on the right - quite a testing opening hole, and an intimidating tee shot on the second between two mountainous sand dunes to follow, just gives a taste of what to expect on this great links course - oh - and the shot par-three 15th which has 12 bunkers surrounding it! It makes you aware of what playing golf is all about. My only criticism is that it would be even better if it were just a tad longer in places.

My first experience of a links course and very enjoyable it was. I played with a member and if you get the chance, I would recommend this as the best way of first experiencing what is a lovely old course. In particular, because a number of the fairways rather blend into each other and despite being relatively short it, directionally, its sometimes hard to find where you're going. Finding your way from green to next tee is occasionally a also little confusing on occasion.

Interesting to start with a par three - very tight and a early test.

The greens were fast and in great nick but when the wind gets up, its a real challenge to keep straight and as the rough is quite punishing, you will spend a deal of time searching for lost balls - it is comforting though to see lots of members suffering similarly!

Nice clubhouse, fantastic views and a real treat.

An absolute gem of a course with wonderful views over the harbour, along the coast and of St Ives. The course is very undulating and there are very few straight forward holes. The condition of the course was superb and play was not slow at all. My favourire holes were the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 9th and 11th. The 17th (Par 3) was probably the hardest hole to make par on with a plateau green about 190 yards uphill (We played it into the wind for good measure). I would thoroughly recommend a visit.
