Excellent value for money. The best private pay and play around for miles.

a lovely piece of land with great greens and decent fairways, excellent value at 14 pounds for a round mid week i play there regularly - it's a treat. front 9 is a bit flat and not too many features;it can get congested so you have to pick your time if possible.

Play this course quite regular it is well laid out,the back nine is what really makes it.With a little more care & attention it will become one of the best municipal courses around. The only down side is the owner & his wife they really do need to be a little more customer freindly because we are their livelihood. The price has gone from £10 in 2002 to £15 now with no real improvement or development to the course.Maybe a competition once a year might be good.

maturing course with good greens and an attractive fee. downside is the placing of several tees which on our second visit resulted in being hit in the face requiring 24 stitches and 2 broken teeth!!!!!!
too many people on the course at a given time means poor ettiquette is at a premium, with a little more regulation in allowing people to tee off and resiting of a couple of ttes and this course could take off

Pay and play course at a very reasonable £14 for adults. Only criticism being that there are no junior discounts - there is even a sign up saying no under 16's allowed on the course. Not exactly the right image for golf in this day and age.
Having said that they did not question my 14 year old playing - which is just as well as he was as good as anyone we saw (including all the adults in our group).
The course is distinctly in two halves. The first 9 is new and pretty flat and needs a few years to mature. The back 9 is more interesting, mature and challenging with most holes on the sides of hills. We enjoyed the round and will give it another go, although it will have to be another day when I leave my 11 year old at home on the playstation.
