I'm trying to be more optermistic that the last review buts it difficult. It was wet but then again its Feb and the weather has been poor. There was lots of work going on but no workers but and i can see they are trying to improve the course from when i last played here which was when it had just opened. Went over for twilight but had to pay £12 for 9 holes (fair enough). The tees are non existant, greens just not improved enough from when I was last here, but least they are trying to shape the course in places. No bunkers at all and I'm not convinced on the new hole plan (ie hole 1 being a par 3) My main gripe is the price being £18 for a round this is far to high for this course especially when others not far away are far better. Nice staff and i hope they get the course looking how they wish but for now I would leave alone.

one word ...awful. Despite being described as being an inland links do not be fooled. Haven't played a worse course in years. Awful mossy greens, terrible tee conditons and poor course maintenance. Not one bunker in play! Need i say more. Don't waste your money!!

A fantastic golf course which is improving all the while, with great views of the countryside and nearby forest, very testing greens with many contours and tiers, big hitters will feel at home along with shot shapers, no waiting around in queues due to over excessive tee times crammed in together, a very enjoyable course I thought.

A great new course, played it many times and the more you play it the better it seems to get. A real golfing challenge, definetly a course worth playing!

On arrival it is an inspiring sight and immediately you know you've got a challenge on your hands. It plays very well and is a great challenge. The greens are hard to access on some holes but overall it is an awesome experience. One of the hardest holes is the 'fifth'. An uphill hole with an elevated green with trees down either side at all times, and a mischievious bunker which will catch a stray drive. Well worth the money. Expect to work hard to keep to your handicap.

Played here midweek January 06 ( £16 each ).
Horrendous slog set on the steep slope of an old farmers field. Possibly the least enjoyable course that i've played (& i've played quite a few )& a course that looks as if it was built on the smallest budget possible .
I can't think of one positive thing to say about it. Wormcasty fairways , patchy tees & severely sloping greens infested with moss.
The 1st bunker i went in i damaged my club by hitting a stone that was in the sand under the ball & i subsequently dropped out of all future bunkers. Repeatedly traipsing up & down the steep hill becomes a real chore & the layout & particularly the design features are disappointing.
Described as an inland links but this must be a joke.
One to avoid.
Kevin B.
