A hidden gem ! Good scenery from up top, every hole a different challenge - try and stay on the green at the Par 3 third hole, then take a deep breath when you look at the drive required for the 4th !! Fantastic course.

The old course is a little gem. As it should be since Harry Colt designed it. The setting is lovely, in typical english downland countryside...some great views over the downs.

Do NOT be put off by the course only having 9 holes. The 9 it has, have plenty of variety (more than many 18 holers!). Holes routed through valleys, across ridges, and up and down roller coaster humps. A super set of greens as well-intricate contours and in fine nick too.

A quick couple of rounds and you have just played 6500yds of a hidden gem that deserves to be better known.

Don't bother with the new course. It has none of the character of the old.
