Played in Sept 07. Of the 4 courses we played this was probably the one that was the most difficult. The greens were lightning fast, and the lightest touch seemed to propel the ball yards past. A modern championship set in the hills with plenty of water, and some beautifully designed holes. But it is very challenging, though the torrential rain we played through on the back 9 didnt improve our scores! A great test of golfing ability, this is a course that has to be respected, though it could be argued that the main challenge came from trying not to 3 putt rather than missing the greens in 2. Enjoyable but not great.

Played two rounds at Saint-Omer in one day and am happy to say its one of the best courses I've visited. It's a long hilly course so a buggy is a must and it was very quiet too (always a bonus).

Tees were clearly marked and signposted and distance markers were on all fairways.

Our group was very mixed and the course offered challenges for all but did not punish shorter hitters or higher handicaps.

The pro-shop was well stocked and the bar/restaurant was superb.

Will definitely be visiting again.

Played the course at the end of September. As others have mentioned the course is a hard walk and buggys are recommended. This however should not detract from the course which is a fine set up with lightening greens. Get in the wrong position on some of the greens and you would be happy to three putt.

Overallan enjoyable experience and looking forward to playing it again next year in the middle of Summer when the greens should be even quicker.

Played the course in June 2003, just after the St Omer French Challenge Tour event. The course is within 35 minutes of the Tunnel and is easily found.

This course is hilly, but not excessively so for fit golfers, we carried the bags and found that we still had plenty of energy left (home course is hilly also so that may have something to do with it). There are a good amount of blind shots to play and you benefit from playing the course more than once. The course was in very good condition and played well, although the flags hadn't been moved from the Sunday positions so were difficult to get at. Putting became fraught due to the speed and undulations, just as you were about to celebrate the sinking of a 30 foot putt the ball would just move 3 or 4 inches to left or right. At the end of the round we were pleased to record only 36 putts and some of these were close to staying out from less that 18 inches!

The 12th and 18th are both up hill requiring mighty tee shots and very accurate second/third/fourth shots.

The 7th is a lovely long par 5 with Out of Bounds all down the left side and behind the green and water in front of it.

Good English is spoken by the receptionist and judging by the many GB numberplates in the carpark is popular with a lot of Brits.

This course is very long! It took us over 5 hours to play 4-ball and we took buggies. The course was in excellent condition and the weather was great. The greens were very fast and undulating. Being townies the countryside views were amazing!

It's deffently not for novice golfers!

Played this course as an afterthought after we couldnt get a teeing off time at Wimeraux and it was very very busy. Arrived at 12 midday and couldnt get a tee off time until 3.30 and went out behind an English Society!! After taking two and a half hours to play nine holes we had to give up but we found the holes we did play very interesting and like previous comments VERY HILLY!!

We played on a superb April day with glorious sunshine, but I must say I found the condition of the course to be a little "scruffy" and the greens were very slow. Would like to give the course another chance because I felt that overall it was a very good test of golf.
