Golf du Chateau de Cheverny Player Reports
David Gordon (Scotland) 13/08/02
Great holiday course - not too long but requires you to think your way round the whole way. Three par-5s that are reachable, with most of the par-4s protecting par by dog-legs and large bunkers.
Rough is not too punishing and the course has very little by way of climbs.
Fairly easy-paced opening nine, but as soon as you turn watch out for the tenth (stroke 1). Blind tee-shot with danger all the way. Elevated green with hazards all over the place. Fantastic hole.
Great finish with the par-3 seventeenth (tee to green is over the lake) and the par-5 eighteenth, a hole that forces you to make choices all the way home.
