A traditional and enjoyable layout. Played in October after som eheavy rain so played quite long off the white tees as there was no roll with the driver. Again, a course on which you need to keep it straight. If you are off line you are into the trees or o.b. in someone's garden. The houses areound the course are quite tight and somehow visually intrusive and detract from what is otherwise a very pretty course. Some of the par 4s lack variety but the par 3s are generally a good test.

Hossegor is simply delightful, but if you're having a bad day with the driver take an iron off the tee! We visited in June 2001 and the lush fairways and immaculate and slick greens made it a joy to play. Staff very welcoming and friendly, clubhouse catering excellent but pity the car park is so small! Represents superb value for money - highly recommended.

Played this course in September 2000. This is a really high class course with a premium on accurate driving. If you're driving badly take a bucket load of balls and plenty of insurance. Many of the holes have fantastic properties just off the fairway. Green in excellent condition and not too fast. Fairways lush although some teeing areas were badly scarred

This is a quality golf course measuring just under 6500 yards off the back tees, and yes you can play them with a hadicap of 15 or under. Very impressive layout, one could be anywhere on the great Surrey/Berkshire courses, pine trees everywhere. The condition of the course when I played June 22nd 2000 was outstanding, very lush fairways and beautifully kept greens, typically flat greens but non the worse for that as they were true and fast. Strongly recommended, not expensive either approx £25.00 for the day! Dont be put off by the entrance as I believe what you see from the road is the old Clubhouse, the new one is very well appointed and the food is what you would expect from France, well presented and quite delicious, suprisingly not expensive either.
