I played Tralee in September 2003. It is a magnificent course. After a quite easy opening the fun begins at the second hole. The first nine are really good with hles number 2,3, 7 and 8 being the best. The second nine is even better with some dramatic dunes, tough par4:s and great shortholes. The best hole on the course, in my opinion is the 16 par 3 210 yards from championship tee. It is played from an elevated tee over a huge gully with a small evil bunker on the left side of the green. The wiev from the tee over the Atlantic is breathtaking.
I enjoyed the day at Tralee and found it worth every Euro I spent.
Clubhousefacilities are great, staff is friendly and welcoming and the food was by Irish standards very good.

A little bit pricey and not quite as good value as Ballybunion. Front nine makes you wonder what all the fuss is about, better holes are the 2nd, 3rd and 8th. you have to wait until the 12th though until the fun starts. Here you enter a mass of sand dunes. 13 plays over a huge crater to a green placed half way up a huge sand dune. 14 rolls seawards with a huge sloping green. 15 is a great par 4, and 16 as good a par 3 as you'll find - teeing off from an elavated tee down towards a green nestling in the dunes with the sea on your right, a crater in front and dunes to the left and back - you just can't afford to miss the green! 17 is a great two-shotter but 18 disappoints again. Overall a far from mediocre course but a few too many ordinary holes - play both courses at Ballybunion instead.

Hello Everyone,
Barrow is my club. It is the most wonderful place to enjoy a game of golf. The course is magnificent, the front nine just about prepare you for the wonderful back nine. We have a wonderful club house with great facilities. Anyone accompanying a golfer but does not play can sit in our restaurant and enjoy the wonderful food and panoramic views. Looking forward to meeting you when you visit expecially the U.S. visitors as I lived there for 12 years.
Regards,
Geraldine

After playing Balybunion I thought I played the best course there was. But after coming to the 19th hole, with a magnificent view of the course, this one is almost as good. The first 9 holes aren't that great. But the back nine are the best I've ever playted and designed by Arnold Palmer I believe. A really great course
