What a shame that on the day we drove to the most westerly course in Europe we had drizzle all day and no wind. This therefore is not an accurate report. Dingle is a long drive and not easy to find. And when you get there eventually, you'll find Dingle is a nice lay-out, not too challenging. I can only imagine what it must be like to play this one in the winds. There is no shelter at all. It is not a true links and it is some distance from the sea. I have the feeling you will not have any trouble booking a tee time here. Must return to play it on a dry day.

I played Ceann Sibeal last of August 2003. It is an interesting course with some nice holes, esp the first 4 and the finishing 4. Breathtaking views on the way to this remote part of Irealnd. The journey to the course was terrific. Overall good quality worth both the money and the time spent.

While enjoyable and the setting very scenic, this course was a disappointment. Comparable courses in Ireland such as Dooks, Carne, and Rosses Point are better tests of links golf with more impressive scenery. While there are a number of interesting holes (first four are a good start; 10 is challenging par-3), it slowly but certainly feels like playing over and over the same holes.

Played this course Wednesday May 15th 2002.

This is a superb links ! I've played St Andrews and Royal Lytham and this compares... Try playing on a calm and dry day, this will help. When the weather is wet and windy it will test your capabilities to the limit as it did mine and with quite a few blind shots, make sure you get the course planner. The greens are tricky but run very true. A truely brilliant experience. A little bit out of the way (90 minute drive from Killarney) but try and make it. It's worth every penny....

Afterwards, visit the many Public houses in the town of Dingle and drink the night away.

This is one of the finest links courses in the World, with many challenging holes. From the first tee to the eighteenth green you have to concentrate and think your way round. The tenth is an absolutely great par 3, the ninth a great par 4. But the jewel in the crown is the 16th - fantastic. Although this course is off the beaten track, it is well worth a visit. If you get it on a windy day, it is so hard, on a calmer day, it still demands great respect. Very friendly club with good food and great views over the Blasketts
