Carrick wass the second leg of our Suir Valley Golf Experience and this one was a challenge. Now the weather was already rough in the valley, but as this course is on top of the hill, we got blown all over the place.

Which in the end was a real shame as Carrick is a wonderful course. A lot of variation makes most of the holes a real challenge. On the back nine some of the holes give you splendid views, but also give you no option on the right. The greens still were excellent and you could see that a lot of effort was being put into presenting the course. Flowers, trees. All in all a course we will definately play again.

The first tee outside the clubhouse is nearly as nerve racking as the long par 5 Fifth. The golf is excellent, as is the Guinness and welcome in the bar at the end of the game!

What a course. I played it when it was 9 holes and it was tough. Now with a full 18 holes it is a fabulous course. There is no room for error and the views are just stunning. The 5th, par 5, just goes on for ever. The 17th and 18th are great closing holes. The grass is just so lush if you hit fairway or green its a joy. The members are walrmly welcoming. I should know I spent the morning of my wedding day there.
