What a course. Played it as one of a 3 course pass and it was by far the best in both condition and beauty. The 1st is a gentle par 4 down hill running to the banks of the river suir. Then the 2nd, 3rd and 4th are 3 of the best holes you could play in golf with views to match. We played then into the face of a strong wind which didn't make it any easier. You then move back up the hill away for the river. On the back nine 12, 13, 15 and 16 take you back along the shore line with some equally majestic holes. The greens are wicked being both fast and with some serious breaks on them. Between the 8 of us that played we voted this course the best out of Faithleg and Mount Juliet. A real treat and we shall be going back and take a camera if you play.

I played this course at the end of a very wet April 2002, yet still the course was in superb condition. Well worth a visit, very scenic and you'll have to be in good form to return a score.
Go early and have breakfast in the castle, a touch expensive but spoil yourself. It's a lovely place.

Absolutely superb course. Excellent scenery combined with some cracking good golf holes. The 3rd hole in particular was a fine example of everything that was good about the course. Recommend it to anybody.Had no trouble paying a green fee without booking and staff were very friendly. 19th was functional but the service provided was very good.

what a lovely setting.Great views over the river on most,if not all 18 holes. Some cracking good holes.Hole 3 is a par4 with a tee shot over a substantial lake through a gap in the trees and a second shot alongside the next lake.If it wasn't so pretty it would be horrible!Clubhjouse wasn't much, but people were so friendly.Definitely worth a visit.
