Waterville House & Golf Links Player Reports

Played in Sept 03, in the only "British Open" weather we encountered in a 10-day trip. A tough but fair course, some stellar holes and scenery, marvellous 18th. Good reception and good lunchtime food in the bar. Overall, would return in a heartbeat - super course, location's a bit of a drag but most definitely worth the drive. Would like to stay closer (we were in Killarney) and play it more than once.

This is a "Tiger" course. Plays long. Wonderful staff. Didn't impress as much as Ballybunion and Lahinch, but was a very good links course. Met some wonderful and friendly Irish golfers that we were paired with. Would recommend this course if visiting the "Ring", but would not go out of the way to schedule this one if not in the area.

I played Waterville on a beautiful day with hardly any wind. The course was in O.K. condition and some of the holes were very nice. However, this course does not measure up to its reputation and is easily outclassed by other links courses in Ireland such as Ballybunion and Old Head.
