Both courses are excellent, perhaps as good as it gets. Glashedy is long, about 6900 from the whites. Heartily recommend both courses, excellent food in the club house, and a very warm welcome there.

Played both courses the second week of September. The Glashedy was an absolute beast in about a 5 club wind and greens that were lightning fast. A top course but a little untidy in places with a lot of sand filled divots around. We played the Old course the day after and it was perfect, sunny and a light breeze. This is more of a traditional links with hardly a flat lie on the fairways and some pretty harsh rough. Faldo has taken the Old course to a new level, first with the new bunkering and second with the new hole and additional tees by the ocean. You'd have to go a long way for a better view than the ocean side holes. In fact our 4 ball rated the Old above the Glashedy which is a total change from when we played 2 years ago. The clubhouse has obviously been designed by a golfer as I don't think I've been in better, and the food is fantastic. Can't wait to go back.

Up there with the very best.

Recently visited Ballyliffin and played both courses, very hard to say which one was best, as both of them are magnificent.

The wind is the real factor on how you will score.

The clubhouse is modern but very tasteful and fits into the surroundings easily.

The staff are very friendly and only to happy to assist (Thank you to the young lady in the shop for the replacement softspike).

I would recommend a visit anytime you are intending visiting Ireland and Donegal in particular

Absolutely stunning. Georgous August weather and north westerly wind made the course play fair but tough.

The most outstanding memory is working from the 6th green on Glashedy through to the 7th gold tee and the view that awaits you.

No better place to spend a day playing 36 holes.

Clubhouse staff and professionals very friendly and helpful.

Looking forward to returning.

Rugged, beautiful, tranquil, well thought out, testing, rewarding.... brilliant! Anyway, enough of the superlatives and onto some detail.

Two fantastic courses (the Old course and Glashedy) with are similar yet very different. The old course is more defined and characteristic of classic links but the new one still uses the contours but is probably a little fairer off the tea but the greens are more difficult & v.hard to hold.

We stayed down the road in Buncrana which is a great epi-centre for golf in Donegal and you must play both of these! The club house is outstanding with views to die for with great food and of course, the guinness :-D

We'll be back!!
