Location/Description:

Castlebar Golf Club is two miles from town centre,First left on Ballinrobe Road.We are 15min. from Westport,20min from Ballinrobe and Claremorris, we are one hour from Galway City And Sligo town.

For almos two years PETER McEVOY and his team have guided the remodeling and modernisation of Castlebar Golf Club course.

The course has been build to USGA Specifications and been extended to 6500yards with abundance of water features including the spectacular Par Five 18th where a lake guards the green in front of the Clubhouse.

Undulating greens are a feature of McEvoys design and another aspect is a double green of enormous proportion sharing the fourth and seventh holes.

One of England's greatest amateurs and current Captain of the British and Irish Walker Cup Team say's:
'There are many great golfing hiles on this new track but I think my Favourite is the par 3 sixth.'
It measures 170 yards and is protected all round by streams, ponds and a marsh.

Group and Society Bookings have to be Booked through the Club House. or Jim McGovern 087 2267936. Rates agreed on group size and availabilty. Weekdays Better rates available.
Catering can be arranged to suite groups needs.
