Location/Description:
The golf club is situated in the heart of West Cork, a very beautiful part of Cork county. There are lovely views over the surrounding countryside - from the 12th hole you can see Skibbereen town to the east, to the south the wooded hills around the unique salt water lake of Lough Hyne, to the west the harbour at Baltimore and further west Mount Gabriel with the two air traffic control domes.

Blue 18-holes Par 71 SS 69 5967 yards
Yellow 18-holes Par 71 SS 68 5785 yards
Red 18-holes Par 72 SS 70 5062 yards
With its proximity to the sea and the Gulf Stream this area enjoys a mild climate and the course is playable all year round.
The Club was founded in 1905 in Castlelands. It was affiliated to the Golfing Union of Ireland in 1931. The Club moved to its present location at Licknavar in 1932 with the opening of a 9-hole course - this has become known as 'The Old 9' as in 1992 another 9-holes were added, known as 'The New 9'.
