Location/Description:

Kilrea Golf Club was founded in 1919, and is situated ½ mile to the south west of the town.

The original undulating inland course, is one of the driest to be found. Recent extensions to the course, whilst reclaimed from bogland, are also well drained, and the course is often open when others have succumbed to the Irish climate.

Extended in recent years to 5504 yards long (par 68), it is longer than the typical 9-hole course. Despite the extra length, accuracy is still required off the tee to give a fighting chance of par at most holes. Generally, the course has tight fairways and small greens.

Rates apply from 1 April 2005:
Weekday £12.50 (with member £10.00)
Weekend £15.00 (with member £12.50)
Open all year

Brand new Clubhouse opened in Spring 2002 offering changing facilities, snacks and light bites and a comfortable lounge to reflect on the day's game.
Dress code - neat casual.

Visitors:

Visitors are welcome at any time, though should avoid Tuesdays and Saturdays when competitions normally take place.
