Quinta da Marinha Conference and Golf Resort Player Reports
Stephen Halstead (England) 22/06/07
Quinta da Marinha is a pretty good course and excellent value if you are staying at the hotel. The course was in very good condition when I played.
However, if you want something really special the the Oitavos course a mile away is the one to play. Each hole is sensational and the views are incredible. On the back nine there are some quite tight tee shots so if you are a bit wild put plenty of spare balls in the bag. A round here is expensive but well worth it.

This sounds simplistic, but QDM is a very nice place to play golf. The faiways are carpet green and acceptably wide. The greens are firm, yet receptive and wonderfully huge and chaotic. There's water here and there, bunkers galore, and some hilly parts. The QDM complex itself is fairly sizable with Tennis Courts, swimming pools and a huge hotel. One for all handicaps.

Played 25/3/01:
Good drainage! A lot of Par 3's & 5's with water featuring on a lot of the holes. The staff are slow of the mark so early tee-off's could face a wait. A couple of very scenic hole in the inward 9.

Not the best course in the area, but some very exceptional feature holes. Greens in very good condition and the accomodation is excellent to use as a base for travelling to courses nearby. Well worth playing this course a couple of times during your stay. Nice 19th, but be aware like a lot of courses they stop serving food early. Fantastic sea vistas from the back nine, which is certainly the nicest and toughest part of the course
