played this course 24/06/2007. They are currently building a hotel, so the entrance isn't the usual for a golf course and the driving range isn't very good. But the golf course was great. The greens and tees in excellent condition (I live in Portugal, and have played most of the courses within the Lisbon area). The front 1-9 holes they were doing maintenance work on the fairways at the moment, but the back 9 holes fairways were great. The 9,17 and 18 holes are spectular. The 18th hole is a par 3 island, surrounded by water - it is worth playing this course just for this hole! Had a great day golfing in some beautiful countryside and some challenging water holes. Would recommend it.

We thank you for the comments on the above email. We had reply to the gentleman in due time . However , we must clarify that the Montado Golf Course was build in 1992, and the main design aiming was a easy course , to mix new golf players for training ,and actual ones for continuous practice. In Montado golf course the player see the results of his game .

I played this course on 26th March, as part of a "package" in the area. I have to say I found it (as did many of our party) very disappointing and not much more than a field with flags stuck here and there. Not particularly scenic, many dull/boring holes and rough fairways. I understand it is fairly new and may, of course, improve with time but for now I would save yourself some money and, in that area, try Aroeira, Troia or Peru instead.
