Aberdour Golf Club Player Reports
John Murray (England) 17/07/07
Played here recently on a glorious day, no wind blue skies but thousands of flies which plagued the whole round (the group in front of us packed in after 8 holes they were so bad).
It's unusual to start with a par 3 but even more so to have the first 2 holes as par 3s. The 1st is a challenging shot from an elevated tee and the second requires you to carry the shore on your left. The 3rs also plays alongside the shore and the views are quite spectacular. The course isn't long (only 1 par 5 and 6 par 3s) and there are lots of driveable par 4s if you're prepared to get the big stick out on the tee. The back 9 are a tad disappointing to be honest but the course was in fine condition, the greens were good to putt on and I wouldn't put anyone off playing here.
It wasn't the course's fault that we were plagued by flies but they really were awful.

Superb Views Of The Firth Of Forth. Why Not Include Nearby Burntisland Golf House Club (in Burntisland) As Well. This Is Slightly More Interesting Also With Fantastic Views.

I Am A Member Of Aberdour. The Course Is Unique In Its Views Across The Firth Of Forth To Edinburgh. As A Course It Is Very Easy To Score Well If You Are An Average Golfer, But Very Difficult To Score Well It You Are A Good Golfer. Many Very Good Golfers Have Played, And Continue To Play At Aberdour. After The Round, The View Is Unparalleled. The Catering Is Undergoing Chage. The Welcome Can Be Variable. Nevertheless, It Is Vaut Le Detour.
