I recently joined this course. I was a touch critical to start with, having previously been a member at Stirling, and Bothwell before that.
However, the course is ok,you get what you pay for, i suppose. An average course, but most the members were pleasant,i will give it 1 season, then decide.

A fantastic, typical James Braid course. Every inch of fairway is so lush, the ball sits up invitingly. It's like playing on a carpet. The scenary is superb, so much so, you have to remind yourself that you're suppose to be playing golf. The greens are receptive, but tough to read. If you walk off here without a 3 putt, you'll have putted well. Great course, great scenary, very friendly staff, and on 2FORE1, it's an absolute steal. I'll be back at the first opportunity.

Played this course for the first time last week, the first hole sets you up with what has to come regarding the scenery surrounding this well designed course. The greens were mostly well kept with only a few needing some attention, but all the holes present a different challenge and a different view of the ochill hills as a backdrop, well worth a visit.

Having read about this Course on their very informative Web Site. I made every effort to play it on mt visit to Scotland. I was not disaponted it is a tremendous test of golf with great facilities

I have just recently become a member at Alloa Golf club. I can recommend this course to anyone who is looking for a well laid out course and a challenging test of golf. After 2 weeks playing golf in Florida it's nice to come back to a course with no large water hazards, especially when you want to find that wayward shot 8') Play this one and you'll come back for more, I guarantee it!

Excellent course near the foot of the Ochills with magnificent view up the Forth Valley to Stirling and beyond.
Beautiful tree-lined fairways can present a stern test for the low handicapper, who should make sure he/she has saved some strokes for the tough four hole final stretch, but the course is very much playable for the beginner.
Good bar, restaurant and Pro-Shop with reasonable changing facilities with showers.
Well worth a visit!

As a visitor to the course I was impressed by both the course and the reception I recieved. As a beginner the course was difficult for me (I shot a 129!), howver the layout and the surrounding scenery made it an enjoyable morning.
