Annanhill Golf Club Player Reports
Neal Stewart (Scotland) 14/03/05
This course is a hard par 69 off the yellow tees. Holes are often tree lined and either up or downhill making it difficult to club the shots accurately. Fairly small greens adds to the difficulty.
At the moment as the ground is soft you are not getting a lot of run on the ball and you have to take the ball clean otherwise you suffer a shot that goes no great distance.
A number of holes lie parallel but in the reverse direction to the hole played previously which can give a sense of playing the same type of hole one after the other.
The 9th is probably a better hole played off the white tees rather than the yellow tees.
The best holes are probably the 12th a tough par 4 up a hill, blind second shot with oob on left close to the green, the 17th a par 3 of 185 yards and the last a good par 5 up a hill which is definitely a 3 shotter with an accurate drive needed to enable you to have a reasonable chance of a par.
