Auchmill Golf Club Player Reports

I watched Auchmill under construction, and played it whilst it was still a relatively challenging 9-hole course. Although it has been over 4 years since I played a round there, I have fond memories, including a hole-in-one on what was the 6th? (downhill onto a "postage stamp" green with banking surrounding it).
This course can present a challenge for both low and high-handicaps.
Ah, fond memories!

Auchmill is a very good municipal course situated on the edge of Aberdeen. The course design makes inventive use of the rugged landscape and offers an excellent variety of holes to challenge golfers of all abilities.
The opening holes, including the memorable 3rd - 'Quarry' are relatively straightforward, but the blind uphill drive on the 5th represents the start of more challenging times ahead.
With four long Par 5's, Auchmill can seem a little daunting at times but there are plenty of short, snappy holes to keep your confidence up and some very pleasant woodland scenery to be enjoyed.
