Port Bannatyne Golf Course is a fair test of golf for all playing abilities. Although a short course (5000 yards) the small greens offer a tough test to allow yourself a birdie putt
Keep the ball left of the tee at all times-and hope that its not too windy or you wont break 72 easily.

Several years ago I played Port Bannatyne Golf Club. A truly difficult course due to its fairly severe hillside location. A course that I would definitely recommend for a good game and spectacular views of Loch Strivan and the surrounding lochs and Kyles. The views are truly breathtaking. The day I was there, a gentleman and his sheepdog were herding sheep in the field next door and at the course payment was accepted in an honesty box since there was no one at the course at the time that I tee off. It is really a very nice course if you do not mind walking and playing on a major hill. I will probably play this course again this year when I play each of the other courses on Bute.
