Dalmilling Golf Course Player Reports
Mark Byford (England) 13/01/06
This course is very open. Reasonable for high handicap players or youngsters, but experienced players will probably find it quite boring. It can be a case of whack it, find it, and whack it again. Was in reasonable condition. Only memerable hole was the 6th, a short par 3 with an island green (well, surrounded by a stream!). This course does have the advantage of generally being much quieter.

Had a very enjoyable day at your course I was very impressed by the condition of the greens & fairways. The cost was exeptional well worth a visit having played some courses around lanarkshire especially my local Dalziel park its a cow park compared to your course we will be back..
Martin Brennan (Scotland) 06/01/02
Dalmilling is an alright course however it is not in very good condition. It is also not very challenging however I do think that the 8th hole and the 6th hole are very good but also the 10th is a nice wee hole. Unlike at Seafield the starter is not as pleasant as the seafield starters butit is a nice course in parts but if you are in the area you might like to try Seafield

Short wide-open course sandwiched between a busy main road and a housing estate. Small greens and little variation in holes, with only 3 or 4 offering any interest.
Given what else is available in the area, does not really cut it, but I guess it is cheap.
T Sammons, Shropshire (England) 01/05/00
Whilst the course is only a 68, it still plays tough.
Good conditions of the course, very good greens.
Club house facilties somewhat limited, but still worth a visit.

My name is Mandy Taylor. I am a scottish lass living in Australia. I had just started getting into golf when I left Ayr to go to OZ. Since my departure in October 1991, my mum, Joyce Hume, has taken up the game with avengence. As she is going through a challenging time in her life at the present, she has found this course and the ladies who are members to be terrific. Every week she gives me her scores "on the doors". It is a really enjoyable course and many of my friends continue to play Dalmilling. If anyone reading this on the internet would take the time to say "hello to my mum through a notice on the club house board I would greatly appreciate it! It would make my mum's day to know that we are not as far away as she thinks. I have now got my clubs here in Australia. Have started to go to the driving ranges to get some sort of form back into my swing. Hopefully, when I go back to Scotland in early 1997 I will be able to visit Dalmilling once again. Until then, happy golfing and maybe I will give you a game alongside my mum when I come over. Thank you for reading this. DON,T FORGET TO SAY HELLO TO JOYCE HUME - SHE IS THE GOOD LOOKING ONE WITH THE WHITE RENAULT. Sincerely, Mandy.
