Played 36 holes an a Sunday with the local golf society. The general concensus was that there should be an oxygen tent somewhere up around the 8th & 9th holes.
This is an incredibly hilly course and very different from anything else I have played in the area. It provides a fine contrast to the traditional links found not very many miles away and should be included on any trip to this area.
The course was in excellent condition and the greens fiendishly tricky. The commonest gripe was the number of 3 or more putts, particluarly in the first round.
My own observation was that there was a noticiable absence of obvious distance indicators and although several of the drives are blind, there are no marker posts on the course.
Anyway, once you have worked out where you are going, this is an enjoyable and scenic course. The view and the prospective drive from the medal tee on the 10th are worth the slog to get there on their own.
We were catered for very well indeed throughout the day and the staff were pleasant and helpful.
Yes, definately one to be recommended, but you need to be fit.....or take a sherpa with you!
