Eastwood Golf Club Player Reports

I started playing golf within the last year, and was lucky enough to become a full member at the Eastwood Golf Club recently. To start with i was quite nervous about the whole idea of joining a club as a high handicapper and playing in medals and other competitions. From the First day i have been at the club everyone is really friendly and welcoming, and always willing to let you join their group.I now play every thursday in the Medal, and average 5 rounds of golf a week. The course has recently been changed and new holes introduced, and already you can appreciate just how good the course is and is going to become !!! A visit is a must for any golfer who loves the game !!!

I played Eastwood with a few of my buddies just last week on the last leg of our British tour, and i must say it was one of the most enjoyable days of our whole trip. The course is going through some renovations at the time, but even in its current state it was a fine test of our golfing abilities, and promises to be in its finished state a top class golf course. You are guaranteed a challenging series of holes, which rather than being monotonously similar require a variety of skills to negociate. In addition you can enjoy the lovely scenery and warm Scottish hospitality. I'd recommend it to anyone-Whizzo!!

I am personally a junior member at this club and I think it is one of the most testing golf courses in Glasgow. The professional at Eastwood, Alan McGuiness and his assistant, David Moffat will always be there to give you friendly advice and have a well stocked shop. The food in the clubhouse is a good price and tastes fantastic.
