Location/Description:

Fort Augustus Golf course was designed in 1924 by the famous architect Harry Colt and built with the help of the local community and the Benadictine monks at Fort Augustus Abbey, it is a nine hole course with each hole having two sets of tees giving, in effect, eighteen different holes.

There are pars of three, four and five of between 129 yds and 525 yds in each half.

Length 5379 yds, Par 67. Ladies 4800 yds, Par 68.

Situated just off the A82 at the West end of the Village Fort Augustus is a heathland course with no severe climbs.

It presents a challenge to low handicappers as well as being readily accessible at reasonable cost to beginners and occasional players.

The seventh hole is considered one of the most challenging par 3's in Scotland. Situated next to the caladonian canal, the course nestles in the Great glen surrounded by stunning views.

Green Fees:

£15.00 a round, £20.00 per day.

£60.00 per week Sunday to Friday.

Licensed lounge bar also serving hot and cold snacks Sunday to Friday 10am to 6pm.

Visitors:

All standards of player welcome anytime except Saturday afternoons from 12 noon to 4.30 pm.

We have clubs and Trolleys for hire.

Societies:

Societies will be made very welcome.
