A really nice course in great condition with interesting holes and awe inspirring views over the Firth of Forth. The periscope in the starters hut is a nice gimic and the starter himself was a gent. However the whole experience was overshadowed by the cool, bordering on hostile, reception from the staff and members who flatly refused to allow us to even enter the bar. My lasting impression will be overpriced, unfriendly and never to be visited again.

This is a true gem and is a must play if you're in Fife and the U-Boat periscope in the starters hut is a must. The 1st is a cracking par 4 where you drive over a massive hillock. The 3rd is one of the best par 3's you'll ever play. There are so many good holes on this course and barely an average one. Most of the holes are great fun with some wonderfully shaped greens and the condition of the course is excellant and the views are stunning on nearly every hole and especially around the turn. The 9 hole course is a great way to warm up and is kept in very good condition aswell.

What a great surprise. We played Elie GHC on a Sunday in April 2003 and it is fantastic, after the first hole it is a wonderful golfing experience. I am a pro, my wife is a 10 handicap and our third was a 16 and we all enjoyed the course. It was in the best condition of the 10 courses we played, and outside of Prestwick, the most fun! Lots of challenging shots, try to play twice in one day. Clubhouse reception is a bit too cool but then again we may have been mistaken for Americans. Don't miss this 400 year old course with no Name!

Another marvelous links course perhaps easier to navigate than some, despite the the challenge at no 1. The charming town, the firth and the beach, remnants of old farm walls, excellent greens and the famous periscope combine to yield an exhilarating round of golf.

No trip to "the Kingdom" is complete without a round at Elie. The periscope at the first tee, the townspeople strolling on Sunday afternoon, the beautiful sea vistas - it is all here. Come early. You will want a second round.

A great course. Played it on a calm day in the middle of summer, but was still extremely testing. A bit pricy for my liking when uyou compare it to Leven.
I also recommend to stay at the Golf Hotel, very reasonable price.
Practice facilities are great as well. All in all, well worth it.
