Played on a Greenfree voucher for £12.50 on a Sunday. Absolutely superb value. We received an exceptional welcome from the pro and then joined up with a couple of friendly members on the 1st tee. Lots of hills, but a really good course and one I'm glad to have played. The course was in good condition, apart from one green which had been damaged by kids and a couple of other greens which were being top dressed - but then you should expect that at this time of year. I'd recommend this place to anyone fit enough to cope with the climbs.

I have to agree with Ryan Mark's comments.
I attended their open day and got to play the full 18 holes for £ 5, including a free drink in the club house. In other words; an offer and a day almost too good to be true.
The course is very well maintained with good greens and fairways. Punishing rough, trees and gorses awaited careless golfers. Some of the marking and signs on the course lacks a bit tender loving care, but they are still acceptable. The course is hilly and quite long. A hard physical course (bring plenty of water !!). The views to die for and spetacular. The holes was really interesting, with the best holes between 6 and 13. Those holes is alone worthy the full green fee or a membership. The rest is good too. This is not the most difficult course I have ever played, but still a good test.
I would recommend this typical moorland course. Please also note that this is a James Braid design and a good one too. I'll be back. Many, many times.
(please note that my value for money rating is based on the full green fees)
