Played the final of a golf society competition on number 2 on 14th September 2008. Had the perfect day - still, clear and warm. Views over the Firth of Forth towards Fife and Bass Rock were amazing. Played gross 53 out and 42 back - not bad for first time playing the course. The fairways were in great shape, not too narrow, cut nice and short with plenty of life in them. Greens were in fantastic condition and a joy to play. I found rough numerous times but whilst it was tough it was not completely punitive and only one ball was lost!! Par 3 11th is the signature hole - on such a calm day took a five iron to get beyond the bunkers and trickle down the hill to within ten feet of the pin (from where I sadly two putted due to very tricky read on the green). Staff in the visitors clubhouse were as welcoming, freindly and informative as ever. Overall I REALLY liked this course (just as I did playing number 3 in April this year) and I remain very happy to visit Gullane GC as much as possible. It's how golf should be in my book.

Played the No.2 in early september with lovely weather.
greens are superb and quick. Bunkers and rough were tough.
A true links with lots of varation to keep you thinking. The views to Edinburgh and Fife are magical and saw deer on the course too.
It was quiet too and this added to the feeling of "golf as it should be". We had a great time, highly recommended especially with a greenfree voucher, its great value.

we played no 2 course on 19th may 2008 and found the course in fantastic condition. the greens were true and the views were spectacular! i had to wait to play my second shot into one of the greens as a deer was making its way across the course. as a first test of scottish links i was very impressed. would definatly play here again.

We played No. 2 course twice during out stay and it was an outstanding test of true links golf. The greens were immaculate and the entire experience from the wonderful clubhouse, practice area and course was truly outstanding.
You can use 2 for 1 vouchers on Gullane no. 2 course and this made it just £23, outstanding value for money. I strongly recommend this course.

we played here on the 15th october as our 1st course on a 4 day golf society and i have to say i was a little disappointed with the the number 2 course. maybe it was the weather (as it did pour down at times), but the course just seemed a little bland to me. there are some really nice holes on there but overall i was left feeling a little un-inspired by the course in general.
all the staff were really friendly and the meal was really nice in club house. the pro shop was well stocked, but a little on the pricey side.
i would probably play the course again but would try and do so during the summer months.
