Linlithgow Golf Club Player Reports
Martin Boyle (Scotland) 24/08/07
Slightly odd reviews above, clearly from golfers used to racking up good scores on playing field course with fairways wide enough to turn the Titanic.
A well-kept, attractive course with many interesting holes which are a real challenge at times, and which force you to consider your shot rather than blindly drilling a driver on every hole safe in the knowledge that you'll be fine no matter how wild your shot!
Some gorgeous views over Linlithgow and beyond, well-tended but challenging greens (again, who wants a course with no challenge?!) and a decent little clubhouse.

This has to be the worst and hardest courses I have ever played on. You get punished for good shots and why the hell do the greens slope so much-its madness. Also why on earth is css 2 under par. It is a short golf course but from a low handicappers point of view it is on of the hardest to score on.

A good course for mountain goats with the most ridiculous par 3 on God's earth (17th).
Professional a definite plus but watch out - all your putts miraculously break towards the canal.

Course is very interesting with some tight driving holes. Greens are excellent with many tricky borrows. Unusualbut fun par 3 17th. One correction - Linlithgow accept parties on a Sunday.
