played lockerbie 14th aug 2007, was introduced on the 1st tee to the 2 local bandits, heck and budgie, dont play these blokes they will take you to the cleaners, even though they are nice chaps thats just a front to take your money, budgie plays off 6 but shud be about 2 or 3 he even hacked up the 1st to try to justify his handicap, heck is off 17 but is as steady as they come,. the course was a plesure to play after the 1st when 1 needed oxygen at the top, after that the course flatens out a bit,my best holes were the 5th long par 3 from raised tee,the stroke 1 very tough par4 and the 17th tough par 3 ,no par 5s on course but some hellish long par 4s that play long, greens in very good condition and quite a bit to them, club house nice and friendly food very good, wud definatly go back but this time will be more streetwise and avoid the bandits who actually rode off on there horses with somberoes on

We played Lockerbie as part of a weeks tour by a society of nine.
Very friendly place, with well kept fairways and greens and a quite promising opening couple of holes. However after that it just becomes a bit monotonous, with one hole up the hill, followed by another one going back the other way. That really sums up the course, well kept but too much `up and down`, certainly not difficult, and I would think that, if not played for the first time, your scores on this track would be very healthy. Perhaps this would be a good opening course for a tour, enabling you to `open your shoulders and let it rip` without too much danger of getting into trouble

We played Lockerbie in July 2005. Any golf club looking for lessons on how to make visitors welcome should come here to see how it's done. We've never met such welcoming, helpful and friendly staff. The course was in fine condition as well. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, and one we hope to repeat in the not to distant future. Diolch yn Fawr (thank you very much) Lockerbie G.C. and don't change anything!

six of us played this course on 27June 2005. First impressions where favourable when we arrived to find the staff very friendly. Entrusted us with the keys for the buggies which we duly posted through the letter box! Course interesting and easy to navigate round. Not very hard to play although non of us did ourselves any justice! Highly reccomended, well looked after course.

We recently (4 ball) played the course for 36 holes with lunch in between.
The course itself is an absolute beauty, challenging without being off-putting, fantastic greens. A course for long drives aswell as clever irons, not a course than can be played without thinking.
The only thing better than the course (and the views) was the welcome we recieved. The secretary is helpful beyond his role and the food and staff in the clubhouse was 1st class (and didn't cost the earth).
Can't wait to go back
